Liberty Leading The Paople
Liberty Leading the People |
DescriptionLiberty Leading the People is a painting by Eugene Delacroix. This painting is painted to commemorate the July Revolution of 1830 years, which is toppled Charles X of France. In the painting, we see that a woman as a personifying to liberty leads the people forward over the dead bodies, she use her right hands to hold the tricolore flag of the French Revolution and her another hands hold a bayoneted musket. This painting is the one famous painting painted from the artist, Eugene Delacroix. Delacroix used the painting like a political poster for the revolution. Then, he was a member of the National Gaurd. When he painted, he placed himself into the painting as the man who is painted on the left side of the painting and wearing a black top-hat. So, we see that painting is shows that the heroic poses of the people fighting for their liberty. This painting also shows that the struggle of the people fight for their liberty, and allows the viewer to empathize the struggle of the fighting war.
Reason: I choose this painting to discuss because this painting is the one of the painting I like. It shows me more understands to the people fighting for their liberty, and let me know that how skilful from the artist to painted this painting.

Lady of Auxerre
The Lady of Auxerre |
Description
IMO: I think this sculpture, the Lady of Auxerre is very beautiful because the artist shows her more organic line and good human proportion and her hair looks like Egyptian hair. Last but not least, her "archaic smile" looks very nice.
